beginner- carve a cheese knife

In this class we will cover an overview of "green" woodworking, including tools, materials, process, technique, and safety.  Then students will learn safe, effective knife grips. Finally, we'll move onto carving wooden butter/cheese knives for you to take home. We'll wrap up with a discussion on finishing touches and decoration possibilities.
 
Class lasts about 2 hours at a mutually agreeable time at my shop in Newton.
No prior experience needed.
 
Select the option to use loaner tools or add on a take-home tool kit to keep going at after class, including a carving knife, safety glove, honing kit, and an extra carving blank.  All materials included in either option.
