To make this piece, I hollowed a birch log, leaving a long tube. Then a groove is cut near the bottom and a dry piece of oak squeezed in. As the fresh birch dries, it shrinks around the oak, locking it in place.
Use to disply dried flowers or as a utlensil crock.
Finsihed in a food-safe, plant-based oil.
