chestnut siblings

$125.00Price

These two bowls came from opposite sides of one chestnut log.  Like siblings, they are related but not identical - each has it's own personality.  One has drying cracks filled with a tinted resin, evoking the Japanese ceramic practice.  The other sibling is slightly curvier, with an added splash of teal underneath.

Chestnut is a beautiful wood, with rich color and grain.  In 12 years of carving, I've only found two chestnut logs suitable for bowls.
