Carving fresh, found wood into useful objects is a fun, relaxing, satisfying hobby. In this class, child/adult pairs will learn how to carve wooden beads from local, rescued logs. We will cover an overview of "green" woodworking and safe use of a carving knife. The finished beads make fun keychains, distinctive jewelry, or holiday ornaments.
Class lasts about 2 hours at a mutually agreeable time at my shop in Newton.
No experience needed. All materials and use of loaner tools included.
Class is for adult/child pairs, ages 11+
