stand up small

This piece of maple had tight grain, beautiful growth rings, and finsihed to glassy smooth texture.  I worked the piece into a shape I normally save for larger pieces, packing them into this medium scale.  "Stand up small" demands attention even if it only has a  smaller footprint.
